Since 1997 we have been breeding Spanish purebred horses in Southern Bavaria, Germany. We breed typical and correct Iberian sporthorses with extraordinary gaits, body and a high willingness for riding or driving. Our horses are somewhere between 1,60 m to 1,65 m in height. Strong nerves, a fine character, courage, noblesse and intelligence - these points distinguish Pura Raza horses of the Haller breed. Not to forget a good functionality, diligence, grace and a great heart. Two of our mares are bay, the others are grey in colour and posess the dun gene, which is very rare. For us, it goes without saying that in addition to the stallions, the mares are equally high achievers and also have to demonstrate riding qualities. We are dedicated to creating multi-talented horses. Hence our mares are ridden in dressage and also in open country, in addition some of them go in for jumping and competition driving. Although we clearly see ourselves as exclusive horse breeders and our horses satisfy the demands of dressage competition, the breeding of typical Spanish horses is close to our hearts: sport horses which catch the eye from the word go as Pura Raza Española - purebred Spanish. We have made a conscious decision not to keep our own stud stallions but instead we receive semen direct from Spain. This gives us the freedom to choose what we consider to be the best stallion for each mare. As stud horses we only choose those that correspond to the line of our mares and have proved themselves in their work, at breeding shows as well as through their offspring: TRC revised champions like GUMIEL, UTRERANO VII or TORERO XV. 2009 our ESTRELLA XXI gave us a wonderful filly from the bay TRC revised stallion UTRERANO VII and we are also delighted with FINEZA HAL, a half-sister to FUEGO XII (Yeguada Cardenas), who was hugely successful at the WEG in Kentucky and the olympic games and is, in the meantime, a synonym worldwide for the outstanding quality of Spanish dressage: <link_http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjZGov3i70A&feature=related_blank>FUEGO in Kentucky 2010</link>
In 2009 we also acquired AR CASIS, a granddaughter of the famous Torero XI (J.L. Escalera) and CAHOBA. Her first foal will be born in 2014. Our ENTEREZA gave us the filly GUSTA HAL in 2010 of whom we have high expectations. Her father is the bay EDUCADO XXXV of Blanca Guardiola in Seville. In the summer of 2013 we bought the dark bay mare POSADA VISTA, a daughter of CEPELLON, who impresses not only through her extraordinary movements but also through her rideability, willingness and charm. From that point of view the next breeding mare generations have been safeguarded and we can draw on plentiful selection resources. Our breed is small but outstanding: we own two extraordinary breeding mares and some 4 young horses - not more. We can thus guarantee that the horses from our breed always receive the care and training that they need. Close contact to the animals is important to us: the stable is adjacent to our home so that we can always keep an eye on the horses. The foals are born under supervision and are with us for about one month before we put them out to summer pasture. Our horses are robust, sure-footed and healthy, as they are kept in an open stable in winter and in the summer and autumn are kept in the paddock. The meadows are fed by a stream and have a sufficient number of shelters and trees. The area comprises some 14 ha in all, in the picturesque foothills of the Alps. Our fields are not fertilized, the grass and hay are lean and rich in herbs and have a high percentage of roughage, which agrees very well with the Spanish horse. Moreover we work out a feeding plan for each horse. In addition to hay, our horses eat high-grade oats and very good mineral fodder. The blacksmith Julia Tilkorn takes care of our horses' hooves. It goes without saying that our horses are regularly de-wormed and inoculated. Our foals become acquainted with transport in a horse-box trailer at about 4 weeks of age when we take them with their mother to the summer pasture. The training of our young horses thus begins from the very first day with consistency and affection. We also sell horses from our offspring. Fillies can usually stay with us to be reared after they have been sold. The professional instructors Beatrice Maus and Sophie Grieger are happy to take your horse's training in hand.
